The Greenfield Parker Substation project required Williams Creek Management to provide access for line crews to complete structure and line replacements behind an active substation. Unlike typical transmission line projects, access to the worksite had to go directly through the substation, making safety and coordination top priorities.
To accomplish this, Williams Creek worked closely with confidential utility client personnel, who were onsite throughout the project to guide safe equipment movement through the substation. Half of the substation was de energized during the work, but the environment still demanded caution, precision driving, and full communication with utility operators. Despite the sensitive surroundings, the project was completed smoothly.
Once access was complete, Williams Creek restored the affected areas behind the substation with standard turf restoration procedures. While the work was relatively straightforward, the access challenge through an energized substation required careful planning and professional execution.
This project reflects Williams Creek’s ability to safely operate in high-risk utility environments and to coordinate seamlessly with client oversight during sensitive operations.
