This project involved the installation and removal of a temporary stone laydown yard in an agricultural field behind a private residence in Greenfield. Unlike Williams Creek Management’s typical permanent laydown installations, this site was designated for short term use only, and full restoration was required once the utility work concluded.
No grading was needed at the outset because the site was flat cropland, and stone was laid directly onto the existing field surface. This approach was used to support the storage of utility poles, transformers, and other materials. Once the client’s crews completed their work, Williams Creek returned to remove the stone entirely, working to restore the land to pre-existing condition so it could resume row crop production.
Though straightforward, the project required detailed coordination with the landowner, whose property had been temporarily repurposed, and careful post-project cleanup to ensure the field remained productive. This effort highlights Williams Creek’s ability to adapt its approach for temporary-use scenarios while still delivering quality restoration.
