Williams Creek Management completed a project for the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) at Eagle Marsh in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The project was commissioned to improve access to the marsh while protecting the sensitive wetland ecosystem. The primary objective of the team was to install a trail that provides visitors with a safe and enjoyable way to experience the marsh without disturbing the natural environment.
The Williams Creek Team installed a mile and a half of trail insulation on a berm using Geoweb, a cellular confinement material. Geoweb was selected for its ability to provide a stable and permeable surface that minimizes disturbance to the underlying soils and vegetation. The project required careful consideration of the sensitive nature of the surrounding wetlands and protected areas.
Through this project, Williams Creek demonstrated Our Team’s expertise in trail construction and commitment to sustainable practices. The new trail will provide a safe and accessible path for visitors to enjoy the unique ecosystem of Eagle Marsh, while also protecting the sensitive environment. Williams Creek’s work enhances the recreational value of the marsh while promoting ecological conservation, benefiting both the community and the natural world.
