Neil is a fourth generation entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience in ecological engineering, consulting, and natural resource construction. His in-depth understanding of state and federal water quality standards and legislation coupled with his strategic focus on both his company and clients’ goals help him recognize opportunities for financially responsible solutions to complex issues in restoration, mitigation, water quality improvement, and development and community enhancement. Neil’s belief in servant leadership and dedication to his passions have enabled him to lead and build a talented team of multidisciplinary professionals who continually work to provide sustainable solutions while constantly focusing on improving the quality of life within communities across the country.
Mr. Aaron Lasley, Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, has been with Williams Creek since the beginning. Aaron began as a construction intern and quickly advanced in the early years of our company to Construction Manager, and after leading several critical client projects and internal initiatives, he transitioned into a leadership role. It is through Aaron’s operational leadership that our company has grown from where we began to where we are today. In his daily role, his focus is on company-wide operations, keeping projects to set schedules, confirming resources are correctly allocated, clients are receiving the Williams Creek experience, and each team member in and out of office has the resources needed to be successful. He focuses on the philosophy which has made our company successful since the beginning–“the field is where you innovate to make projects better, faster, and more cost efficient for clients”–and delivers the message consistently and daily. Aaron is a critical member of our Executive Leadership Team.
Mr. Nic Steadman, Director of Implementation & Preservation, started his career at Williams Creek over 15 years ago as a Field Technician. Since then, he has held the roles of Crew Foreman, Team Leader, and Division Leader. In Nic’s current role, he is directly involved and responsible with all field operations and resource logistics within our company, including client relations and communication, project estimating and bidding, vendor management, subconsultant coordination, project schedules and budgets, and personnel recruitment and hiring. Through his daily leadership, he delivers the Williams Creek experience to our clients and team members within our Installation and Preservation Divisions. Nic is a critical member of our Executive Leadership Team.
Mr. Chris Schaumberg, Division Leader of Construction, has a deep history of leadership and directing growth within our company. Chris has been with Williams Creek since 2007 and brings over 19 years of experience in heavy construction and construction management. His responsibilities include leading the team members of the Construction Division, proactively communicating with clients, and managing vendors and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed efficiently and within the proposed time frame. Chris is a critical member of our Executive Leadership Team.
Mr. Austen Leath, Division Leader of Compliance, has been with Williams Creek Management since 2011. His leadership combined with his passion for biology, wildlife, and serving others has culminated into his current role as Division Leader of Compliance. His dedication and focus is exceeding our clients expectations related to maintaining Clean Water Act compliance with an emphasis on delivering site access solutions, erosion control implementation, site restoration, and asset protection. Austen has strong experience in understanding the full Power & Energy market project lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, and implementation. His primary focus of preconstruction preparation through restoration upon completion ensures delivery of a project without violation. Austen is a critical member of our Executive Leadership Team.
Mr. Chris Kaeff leads the growth of our natural resource construction efforts in the Greater Cincinnati area. Chris came to Williams Creek with 15 years of experience in water resources and environmental science, and he is currently responsible for leading the field team and building strong relationships with current and future clients. His involvements outside of Williams Creek have provided him with a deep sense of fiscal responsibility to taxpayers and ratepayers as well as a dynamic perspective of how the private sector, public sector, and non-profit sector are interdependent in our economy, and how they each work best when they work together to address ecological crises.
Ms. Laurie Turk, Team Leader of Corporate Operations, has been a part of our team for over 17 years. Her passion for water conservation dedication helps fuel the growth of our company. Laurie exudes this commitment every day. Internally, Laurie is responsible for project operational coordination, client communication, and processing invoices and accounts receivable while leading the office administrative efforts. In the office, Laurie appreciates that the entire Williams Creek team has a positive attitude towards serving clients and commitment to quality in getting the work done. Everyone has a family first mentality, and that has been especially important to Laurie over the years.
Ms. Rustee Scott, Team Leader of the Human Resources Department, started her career at Williams Creek with a passion for, and commitment to, helping others. Mr. Kevin Bradshaw has over 16 years of experience as a supervisor and over 4 years of experience in natural resource construction and management. As Team Leader of Installation for Williams Creek, he is responsible for managing field staff and directly communicating with our clients for our installation and maintenance projects. Kevin has assisted in managing several projects including wetland and stream restoration, native seeding, invasive species management, erosion and sediment control measures, and native landscape installation.
Mr. Cory Abel, Team Leader of Preservation, has over 12 years of experience in the natural resource management field. With a passion for mentoring others about plant identification and herbicide techniques, Cory leads monitoring and maintenance services for our clients. He is a Licensed Certified Pesticide Applicator in Indiana and other states, where he holds license credentials in both aquatic pest and industrial weed management.
Mr. Kevin Black, Team Leader Preservation within the Greater Cincinnati area, is passionate about the preservation of our natural world, and it is reflected in both his professional and personal experiences. His responsibilities include executing and overseeing day-to-day field operations, improving green infrastructure and native restoration sites, and providing long-term leadership of maintenance and installation crews. Kevin's experience and strong dedication to the natural world go hand-in-hand with the overall mission of Williams Creek.

Brent Rose is an accomplished fiscal management leader with over 15 years of experience in optimizing accounting and business operations. As the Controller, Brent oversees critical financial functions and business organizational growth strategies playing a pivotal role in the success of Williams Creek. He not only supervises and mentors members of the Corporate Services team but also manages financial processes, ensuring timely and error-free KPI reporting. Brent is responsible for establishing, updating, and maintaining systems and procedures to mitigate risk and comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. It was the Williams Creek culture that ultimately motivated Brent to transition to a different industry, and because of his dedication to our future growth, he works hard to keep the company up-to-date with industry standards while holding all team members accountable for these corporate policies.
In his role as Superintendent, Nolan O'Farrell directly leads our construction teams in the field with a focus on conducting complex scheduling, vendor and subcontractor management, and proactive client communication to ensure deadlines and budgets are met efficiently. He is an emerging leader in our company who takes pride in the ongoing mentorship of new and tenured team members in both general professional development and direct hands-on equipment operator training. Nolan is a proven and knowledgeable leader in our field of natural resource management, and his passion stems from the ability to work with a team of driven individuals expressing appreciation for the natural world while also growing as individuals in an ever-learning environment of built and natural systems. His leadership will be a vital key in the many unique and challenging project success stories for years to come.
Jordan Nauert, Compliance Team Leader, has over seven years of experience within construction trades with a focus in natural resource management. With his experience in operating all types of general excavation and restoration equipment, Jordan has carved a niche for himself as a leader who ensures projects are executed seamlessly while adhering to the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and environmental stewardship. He is responsible for daily jobsite client communication and team briefings on delivering high-quality projects while monitoring and ensuring a safe project site. His project management approach leads to appropriate sequencing and scheduling and direct leadership of our field teams. Jordan's deep connection to the natural world serves as a driving force behind his commitment to responsible construction practices and the pursuit of a greener, more energy-efficient future.
