Williams Creek was contracted to tackle the challenging 6919 Transmission line in southeast Indiana. This FIF (Found in Field) project took place near Brookville Reservoir, an area commonly known for its rough terrain, steep and sudden topography changes, and extremely difficult access. The 6919 project encompassed 12 structure replacements, 1.9 miles of access grading, and temporary specialty access solutions including culvert installation and wetland matting.
Williams Creek was able to safely complete all construction entrances, site prep dozer grading, culvert installation, access matting and wetland matting, as well as all environmental controls to keep the energy provider, line contractor, and landowners environmentally compliant and violation free. Upon completion of the project, Williams Creek was able to restore, in total, 6.8 Acres of tillable ground, forest, and native habitat. Included within this venture, was the involvement of restoring nearly 1.7 Acres of IDNR ground back to its original state.
At project completion, site topography and conditions made restoration efforts very difficult. Through innovative and creative thinking with energy provider and landowners, Williams Creek was able to successfully release the 6919 project on time.
