Paulding Mark Center

Paulding Mark Center Stream Restoration

Project Type: Construction  |  Owner: American Electric Power

American Electric Power (AEP) maintains the goals of minimizing outages and adverse environmental impacts, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, performing its work as safely and economically as possible, and maintaining a positive relationship with land owners and the public. Williams Creek Management has continually assisted AEP with the implementation of its maintenance plan.

The Paulding Mark Center stream restoration utilized bioengineering bank stabilization techniques which included earth work, pulling back the slopes utilizing 24 to 36 inch stone, and bank stabilization using tree plugs, live stakes, five gallon shrubs and seeding. The restoration activities eliminated the threat of lost regional power, reduced localized sedimentation into the creek, and greatly enhanced the area.
